Each of the programs offered at ERHS have different focuses. AVID focuses on a college-going culture building skills through tutorials and tours. Puente focuses on English Language Arts with embedded Hispanic heritage content. Umoja focuses on African American and African content within various courses. eSTEM focuses on building cross-curricular project-based research skills through the science and engineering research project (SERP) in 9th-11th grades.

Each of the programs, as well as ERHS students not in programs, offers students very similar opportunities. All ERHS students are able to take college preparation (a-g), honors/enhanced, AP, and CTE/STEM courses. All ERHS students are able to take Norco College Dual Enrollment courses to begin earning college credit while they are in high school. All ERHS students are able to expand their extracurricular activities through athletics, the performing arts, clubs, and various leadership opportunities.

Students who apply to eSTEM should have a particular interest in the S.T.E.M. fields as well as a desire to build their research skills in better preparation for college and their future.
